Of them, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer together earned Rs 53.75 crore. Let us tell you that this auction will run for 2 days (November 24 and 25) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. On the first day, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bought batsman Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore. Thus Pant became the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.
Just before this, the Punjab team bought Shreyas Iyer with a bid of Rs 26.75 crore. Then Shreyas became the most expensive player in the history of the IPL. This is how Rishabh Pant bought the Lucknow team
Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant was the captain of Delhi Capitals (DC) last season. He was not retained by the Delhi team. In such a situation, Pant entered the auction for the first time after 2016. Although the Delhi team had used the RTM card rule for Pant, in the end the Lucknow team bought Pant by making a long bid.
