Iran bowed to Western forces! Proposed change in the nuclear program: will the problem be avoided?

What will happen to Iran’s nuclear program?

Iran, which is determined to build nuclear weapons, now appears to bow to Western powers. A meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors will be held on Wednesday, at which France, Great Britain and Germany will present a resolution condemning Iran.

But to avoid this, Iran has proposed imposing limits on its stockpile of enriched uranium and considering accepting additional IAEA inspectors. Iran has promised to limit its weapons-grade nuclear arsenal, but on the condition that no motion of condemnation against Iran be brought forward at the meeting.

Ready to limit nuclear storage

Following the visit of the president of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Iran, the IAEA stated in its intelligence report that Tehran is willing to limit nuclear storage to about 185 kg. He is also willing to accept the appointment of four more IAEA inspectors.

E3 countries prepare to present a motion of condemnation

The Reuters news agency, citing the report sent to UN member countries, states that Iran is willing to accept these two conditions, but demands that no resolution condemning Tehran be approved at the meeting of the Council of Governors. However, a diplomat told Reuters that despite this alleged proposal by Iran, Western countries have completed preparations to present a resolution condemning Iran. The Wall Street Journal, citing a source, also confirmed this measure by France, Great Britain and Germany (E3 countries).

Tehran’s problems will increase if the proposal is approved

Past voting patterns show that resolutions put forward by Western countries against Iran pass easily. A successful proposal could act as a catalyst for these three Western countries to invoke the ‘snapback mechanism’ to reinstate UN sanctions imposed on Iran before the 2015 multilateral nuclear deal can begin again.

The United States will support its allies

At the same time, the United States has also made all preparations to support its European allies in this matter. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told Iran International that he will strongly support efforts to hold Iran accountable. The United States has asked Iran to cooperate with the IAEA.

Iran threatened Western countries

This decision was made at a time when Iran has said it is ready for both cooperation and opposition. On the one hand, Iran has proposed accepting the two conditions of the IAEA and, on the other, it also warned a few days ago that if Western countries take action against it again, then it will decide its policies accordingly.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said on Sunday that if a resolution condemning Iran is passed in the Board of Governors meeting, then Tehran will definitely retaliate. He said that Iran will include those new changes in its nuclear program that Western countries will make. He definitely won’t like it.

According to unconfirmed media reports from Tehran, Iranian administrators have threatened that if the resolution against them is passed, they will activate a large number of advanced centrifuges and gas will also be injected into the centrifuges.
