Iran will no longer act defensively regarding nuclear weapons…it is going to make this change

Will Iran change its strategy?

Iran may make major changes to its nuclear strategy. Amid Trump’s return to the United States and pressure from Western countries, there is a demand in Iran to change the defensive strategy regarding nuclear weapons. Iranian officials are calling for a new approach to the country’s defense strategy.

Not only this, some deputies of the Islamic Republic also advocate the manufacture of nuclear weapons. During Sunday’s parliament session, Tehran MP Mahmoud Nabavian demanded that Iran arm itself with all the weapons its enemy countries have.

They demand to make nuclear weapons in Iran

While demanding the creation of nuclear weapons in the Iranian Parliament, Nabavian said: “Iran should arm itself with all weapons available to its terrorist enemies, that is, the United States and Israel.” His statement came at a time when 39 Iran’s parliamentarians have demanded the country’s Supreme National Security Council reconsider the current strategy regarding nuclear weapons.

Iranian officials have long described their nuclear program as peaceful, citing Supreme Leader Khamenei’s fatwa that banned weapons that could cause mass humanitarian devastation. However, Kaman Kharraji, senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has recently indicated that the Supreme Leader may reconsider his order.

‘They will make changes they won’t like’

Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi had also indicated a change in policy on nuclear weapons, saying that if the IAEA Board of Governors passes a resolution condemning Iran, then Iran will take reciprocal measures without doubt it and will make new developments in its nuclear program. He will implement measures that Western countries will definitely not like.

Despite this warning from Iran, France, Britain and Germany are preparing to present a resolution condemning Iran at the next meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors. At the same time, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Islami, has also warned that any kind of proposal against Iran by the IAEA will be responded to firmly.

Ready to talk about nuclear program

Iran’s Foreign Minister also said that Iran is willing to engage in talks on the nuclear program and believes that an agreement can be reached through diplomacy. “We believe that the window for diplomacy is still open, if only for a short time, as long as the other side shows real will,” Araghchi said during a conversation with Iranian state television on Saturday. Without that commitment, we will take an alternative route.

Iran gave time until October 2025

The “short period of time” Araghchi mentioned in his statement is believed to be until October 2025, when most of the sanctions imposed against Iran’s nuclear program will be lifted under UN Security Council Resolution 2231. . After this, Western countries will not be able to impose such sanctions on Iran again.
