What is the BJP’s silent strategy?
In the Jharkhand elections, through Love and Land Jihad, the Bharatiya Janata Party has formed a strong front against the Hemant Soren government. The BJP has also given the slogan “Roti and Beti” for this purpose. Big leaders also keep their speeches around this issue, but apart from all this, the real tension of Hemant’s party is a silent strategy of the BJP.
It is said that this time the BJP has prepared a seat strategy and for this, great leaders have come forward. Instead of going all over Jharkhand, the party’s top leaders are focusing on just one or two seats, so that they can easily reach the magic number.
The BJP is so serious about this strategy that the party has even entrusted the task to former chief ministers to complete it. This is the reason why three former BJP CMs are working just to save their respective seats.
JMM sources say that the strong participation of senior BJP leaders has increased the party’s tension in those seats where there is opposition to its alliance candidate. JMM is facing more tension than himself from the Congress and RJD candidates.

Arjun Munda- Arjun Munda, who was three times Chief Minister of Jharkhand, was restricted only to the Potka seat. Munda’s wife Meera Munda is contesting the elections from here. Potka is a tribal dominated area and JMM won here in 2019.
Munda lost the election to Khunti in 2024. However, this time the blockade was maintained only until Potka. Interestingly, Arjun Munda’s name was also included in the list of BJP’s star activists.
Babu Lal Marandi Jharkhand BJP state president Babu Lal Marandi did not leave his area till the campaign ended. This time, the BJP had put Marandi on duty only in Raj Dhanwar. Marandi competes from this seat.
ML and JMM have put a strong siege on Marandi here. It is said that the BJP did not want its biggest local leader to lose the entire election.
Champai Soren- When former CM Champai Soren was in Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, he was campaigning in different areas, but the BJP had given him the primary responsibility of only 2 seats. Champai was confined to Seraikela and Ghatshila until the first phase of voting.
Champai himself is contesting from Seraikela, while his son Babu Lal is contesting from Ghatshila. Last time, the BJP had lost both seats.
Amar Kumar Bauri Opposition leader Chandan Kumar Bauri is a star BJP activist, but the BJP has entrusted him with the responsibility of saving only his seat. Bauri does not move outside his Chandankiyari zone. This time, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fielded a strong candidate in Chandankiyari.
Bauri is preparing a strategy along with the campaign to defeat the Indian alliance in his area again.
Sudarshan Bhagat This time, the BJP has deployed former Union minister Sudarshan Bhagat only in Gumla. Bhagat is also the party candidate here. JMM’s Bhushan Tirkey is currently the MLA from Gumla.
The BJP’s strategy is to win back this seat. The BJP won here in 2009 and 2014.
Deputies and ministers also work with the same strategy
Nishikant Dubey is the Lok Sabha MP from Godda. The party has also included him in the list of star activists, but Nishikant is mainly focusing on Santhal Pargana. Nishikant is preparing a strategy for the BJP only in Sarath, Madhupur and Jamtara.
Similarly, Central Government Minister Annapurna Devi was stuck in Koderma till the first phase of voting. Another Union minister Sanjay Seth was also manning the front in Ranchi.
Elections left for 38 seats in Jharkhand
Elections have been completed in 43 assembly seats of Jharkhand. There are now 38 seats left to vote. This time elections were held in two phases for 81 seats in the state. 42 MLAs are needed to form the government in Jharkhand.
This time the main contest in the state is between the Hemant Soren alliance and the BJP alliance.
