Israel lost! Offer ‘economic aid’ instead of bombing Gaza

Benjamin Netanyahu

After bombing Gaza for more than a year, the Israeli Prime Minister has offered a new offer to recover the hostages. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message saying that anyone who frees the hostages in Gaza will receive a $5 million reward from Israel.

According to his office, this video was filmed inside Palestinian territory. In this video, Netanyahu said: “Whoever frees the hostage will find with us a safe exit from Gaza for him and his family.” That is, he has promised refuge in Israel and $5 million to those who provide the addresses of the hostages in Gaza.

In the video, Netanyahu is wearing a helmet and bulletproof vest. He stressed with Defense Minister Israel Katz that the goal of this war is to eliminate Hamas from Gaza and not allow it to govern there in the future. “Anyone who dares to harm our hostages is considered dead; we will hunt him down and catch him,” he said.

Netanyahu further said that we are also making efforts to locate the hostages and bring them back home. We will not give up, we will continue the work until we find them alive or dead.

Pressure to accept Hamas’s conditions

At the meeting on Monday, security officials told Netanyahu that the release of the hostages could only be accomplished through diplomatic means. Officials had said the only way to get the hostages out was to accept Hamas’s conditions. Protests against Netanyahu increase in Israel and the families of the hostages ask the government for a ceasefire in Gaza.

How many hostages are there now in Gaza?

Hamas fighters had taken 251 people hostage during the attack on October 7, 2023. 97 of them remain detained in Gaza, of whom 34 have been confirmed dead. Some 132 hostages have been freed in deals and operations previous.
