After Rohit Sharma, even this great batsman won’t play his first Test match

Shubman Gill is said to have suffered a fracture in his left thumb during the intra-team match. India’s problems have increased further due to this. The Indian team is already struggling with the lack of a good opener due to the absence of Rohit Sharma. Rohit is currently in India. Now, if Shubman Gill does not play, the number three spot will also remain vacant.
Recovery will take at least 14 days
A BCCI source with knowledge of the matter said that Gill has suffered a fracture in his left thumb and there is less than a week left for the Test to begin. It will be almost impossible for him to be fit in time for the game. Thumb fractures generally take about 14 days to heal. Only after that are regular net sessions expected to start. Since the second test in Adelaide will begin from December 6. Therefore, there is a possibility that he will be ready in time for that game.
Mohammed Shami will join the team from the second test match
The relieving news for the team is that fast bowler Mohammed Shami will be part of the Indian squad ahead of the second Test match against Australia. It is expected that Mohammed Shami can be seen playing for the team in the second Test. It may be noted that Mohammed Shami was not initially selected in the team going to Australia, but this experienced fast bowler has made a place for himself in the team by performing brilliantly in Ranji Trophy matches.
