Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has criticized National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement. The Prime Minister has said that the Congress Party understands very well that it is easy to make false promises, but difficult or impossible to implement them properly. Kharge had said in Karnataka that announcements should be made based on the budget alone, otherwise the State will go bankrupt.
Now, mocking Kharge’s statement, the Prime Minister said that the Congress Party understands very well that it is easy to make false promises but difficult or impossible to implement them properly. Campaign after campaign they make promises to people that even they know they can never keep. Now they have been seriously exposed to the people.
What’s the whole deal?
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday criticized the Karnataka deputy CM for his statement that the state government will review the ‘Shakti’ guarantee. Under this Congress guarantee of the state government, women have the opportunity to travel by bus for free. Shivakumar had on Wednesday said the government would reconsider the Shakti scheme as some women have expressed their willingness to pay for travel in government buses. Following this, Kharge mockingly mocked the Deputy Chief Minister at the press conference.
The Congress Party is realizing the hard way that making unrealistic promises is easy but implementing them properly is difficult or impossible. Campaign after campaign they promise things to people, which they also know they will never be able to deliver. Now they are bad

Kharge said: BJP had a chance
He sarcastically said that you have given him some guarantee. After seeing them, I also said in Maharashtra that there are five guarantees in Karnataka. Now you (Shivkumar) said that you will leave a guarantee. At this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar, sitting next to him, laughed and expressed their disagreement with Kharge’s statement. Siddaramaiah said the Deputy Chief Minister has only said that the government will review it. Kharge said that everything you (Shivkumar) has said has given them (the BJP) a chance.
BJP also attacked
Assurances and Kharge Statements in Congress Party Former Union minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, quoting Kharge’s statements, said the Congress has for the first time accepted that its election advertisements are meant to throw dust in the eyes of the public. Prasad said the Congress Party, through its president, has admitted for the first time that its electoral guarantee is just a matter of throwing dust in the eyes of the public.
