Violence in Manipur

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed concern over the violence in Manipur. The Sangh said it is unfortunate that there is no solution to the Manipur violence. RSS said the violence that has been going on for the last 19 months is yet to be resolved. Many innocent people lost their lives due to violence. Thousands of people are being affected by this. Innocent people are suffering a lot due to violence.

The Sangh strongly condemned cruelty against women and children in Manipur. This act is cowardly and goes against the principles of humanity. The central government and the state government should find a solution to this conflict at the earliest.

Fire arson in the homes of ministers and deputies

The situation has worsened again after the bodies of women and children were recovered in Manipur. An angry mob set fire to the houses of BJP ministers and MLAs in Imphal Valley on Saturday night. The protesters also tried to storm the ancestral residence of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, but the police stopped them from going there.

However, sporadic violence has occurred in Manipur since May last year. But the current situation has once again created tension in the state. Internet service was cut off yesterday in seven districts due to violence. Curfews were imposed in many cities. Heavy troops were deployed in areas affected by the violence. AFSPA was reapplied in six police station areas, including Jiribam.

Why did violence break out in Manipur?

In fact, the bodies of two women and a child were recovered from the Barak River in Jiribam district on Saturday, while the bodies of a woman and two children were found on Friday night. The militants allegedly killed them after kidnapping them. On Monday, there was an encounter between security forces and militants in Jiribam. Since then, three women and three children living in the relief camp were missing. 10 militants were also killed in this encounter.

Amit Shah to hold meeting today

The Union Home Minister took stock of the security situation in Manipur on Sunday. Meanwhile, according to sources, Amit Shah will hold an important meeting in Manipur today and review the situation there. On Saturday, the Union Home Ministry had instructed all security forces deployed in Manipur to take necessary steps to restore peace. The Ministry of Home Affairs said strict action will be taken against anyone who attempts to engage in violent and destructive activities.
