There is no sign of abating Rural Development Minister Dr Irfan Ansari’s woes in Hemant Soren’s government in Jharkhand. The Congress has also fielded Irfan Ansari from Jamtara. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Jayshree Soren, daughter of BJP candidate Sita Soren, applied to register a case against Dr Irfan Ansari at the ST SC police station in Jamtara.
BJP leader Sita Soren’s daughter Jayshree Soren, along with her sister Vijay Shree Soren and others, reached the police station and submitted the application. Jayshree Soren said that my mother Sita Murmu Soren is the BJP candidate in Jamtara assembly constituency and her contest is with the sitting MLA there, Dr Irfan Ansari.
‘An attempt to tarnish the image by using abusive words’
He alleged that my family and I belong to the Santhal caste of the Scheduled Tribe, while Irfan Ansari is a person of domineering and criminal tendencies. It has also been alleged that Ansari had tried to tarnish the image of my mother Sita Murmu by using indecent words like ‘Reject Mal’.
Jayshree Soren claimed that while clarifying this, Irfan Ansari had made a statement about my mother on social media and said that the Assembly Speaker had told him that his son had also been implicated by Sita Murmu’s two daughters. Therefore, stay away from such people. After his statement, my sister and mother felt insulted. Our social reputation has been tarnished by this.

He further said that this statement was made by Irfan Ansari as part of a deliberate and well-planned conspiracy aimed at tarnishing the image of a Scheduled Tribe woman and socially humiliating her. For this, strict legal action needs to be taken against Dr. Irfan Ansari. In this regard, he has appealed for strict legal action by registering a case under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Atrocities Prevention Act.
