We inform you that voting was carried out in 81 seats of the state assembly in two phases, on 13 and 20 November. The main contest in the state is between the grand alliance led by Hemant Soren’s JMM and the BJP-led NDA. On the other hand, just before the election results, Hemant Soren’s party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, wrote a letter to the Election Commission on Friday night demanding the suspension of internet service near the counting centres.

JMM allegations against BJP

In a letter addressed to the Election Commission, JMM demanded the suspension of Internet service within a two-kilometre radius of the counting centres. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is deploying electronics experts from other states here. The JMM has also demanded a complete ban on electronic devices near the counting centres.

The count will be carried out in 24 centers

The counting of votes for the assembly elections held in Jharkhand will take place on Saturday, November 23 at 24 counting centers in the state. JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said in his letter to the Election Commission: “We have learned from reliable sources that the BJP has deployed electronic experts called from other states outside the counting centres. This is a serious matter.” (input language)
