- Continuous supply of DAP fertilizer continues

Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Imran Raza, with an aim to provide relief to the farmers of the district, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has ensured continuous and adequate supply of DAP fertilizer during this important time of wheat sowing . Deputy Director of the department Girish Nagpal said that to meet the growing demand of farmers, effective efforts are being made to regularly monitor the availability of fertilizers and ensure quick supply so that farmers do not face shortage of fertilizers.
He reported that on October 26, around 34 thousand bags of DAP fertilizer were received in the district from the companies PPL and HURL. Subsequently, on October 31, the NFL company made 43,540 bags from the IFFCO and IPL companies and recently 24,000 bags of DAP fertilizer available to farmers. Nearly one lakh bags of DAP fertilizer were supplied during the last one week.
More than five lakh bags of DAP have been distributed so far this season and this supply will continue so that the fertilizer reaches all concerned farmers on time. Deputy Director Nagpal appealed to farmers not to stockpile DAP fertilizers unnecessarily and avoid any kind of rumours. The objective of the department is that every farmer has fertilizer available as per his needs and does not face any kind of shortage. The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is committed to improving the production of the farmers of the district and in future also will take all possible measures in the interest of the farmers.
