  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti celebrated National Unity Day

(Jind News) Jind. National Unity Day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the local Arjun Stadium. On this occasion the Run for Unity program was organized. In which Deputy Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly Dr. Krishna Lal Midda participated as chief guest. On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Gulzar Malik received the chief guest on behalf of the district administration by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers. At the Run for Unity programme, Dr Krishna Lal Midda described all the players, students and youth present as the future of the country and called on them to maintain the unity and integrity of India.

Paying tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Midha said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had fulfilled the responsibility of uniting India after independence very well. He said Run for Unity was organized at the call of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is reaching new heights. He said that after the formation of the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time, employment opportunities have been provided to thousands of youth. He described the children present as the architects of India’s future and said they should sometime visit the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, which has been built in memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Describing this statue as an example of wonderful art, he also praised its talent. After this, Dr. Midda marked the participants participating in the Race for Unity. District Sports Officer Ramphal Hooda said that in this race all the players reached Eklavya Stadium via Gohana Road, SP Kothi and Safidon Bypass. DDPO Sandeep Bhardwaj, District Education Officer Sumitra Devi and many other officials were also present at this event.
