Police filed a fraud case against five
News from Jind (Aaj Samaj) Jind: The Pillukheda police station has registered a case against five persons under various sections, including fraud, for duping two youths of Rs 16.5 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Australia. Sohit, a resident of Bhidana village, said in his complaint to the police that he met Sangam, a resident of Dhanana village, Sonipat, through his maternal uncle’s son Deepak. Who said they work sending money abroad? He has sent many boys abroad. While talking about Sangam, he talked about sending him to Australia. In return for which the accused demanded Rs 22 lakh. In August 2023, he handed over two lakh rupees and documents to the accused. The accused spoke of sending him abroad soon. On September 7, 2023, the accused asked to reach Chandigarh with Rs 2 lakh, saying that the ticket to Australia was final.

The defendant showed that visa and ticket. On September 16, he was sent to Amritsar airport. There he found Sonia, a resident of Girgaum Maharashtra and Harmandeep, a resident of Mohali. When he arrived at the airport, they kicked him out because his visa and ticket were fake. When he contacted Sangam, he was informed about the visa cancellation due to a technical issue. He then asked to ship it to Australia via Bangkok. Another demand of Rs 6 lakh was made. He arrived in Bangkok on October 24. Where the amount was also converted to Australian and Thai currency. The person accompanying him gave him narcotics and fled with the money. Somehow he returned to Mumbai. Where the accused talked about sending him to Australia with a CDC permit and demanded another Rs 2.5 lakh.

He was kept in a Mumbai hotel for about 40 days, but his work was not done. Finally he returned home. When he asked for the amount to be returned, the accused refused to return it and threatened him with dire consequences. Following Sohit’s complaint, Pillukheda police station has registered a case of fraud against Deepak, a resident of Sangam, Harmandeep, Priyanka, Ramnaganath, Kilajfargarh village.
