(Jind News) Jind. The fireworks of the Diwali festival once again poisoned the climate of Jind. Jind’s AQI had reached 350 on Thursday, the night of Diwali. On Friday morning, the AQI reached a high of 345, while during the day it remained around 297. 301-400 AQI falls in the Very Poor category (risk of causing respiratory illnesses through prolonged exposure). Which seriously affects people with respiratory diseases.
Since Jind district is in NCR, the administration completely banned the sale of firecrackers, but the effect of firecracker pollution was visible throughout the day on Monday. Firefighters received reports of fire at a total of eight places in the district on the occasion of the Diwali festival. Firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and the fire was brought under control. District fire officer Sukhbir Yadav said information about a fire in a house in scheme number five in Jind town was received on October 31. The fire was controlled by sending a fire vehicle. Here the fire occurred due to a short circuit in the inverter battery. In which household items were burned. In addition to this, a call was received about a rubbish fire at the City Hall landfill on Old Hansi Road. The fire was controlled after arriving at the scene.
There was information about a fire at a scrap metal shop on Hansi Road. Where a vehicle was sent and checked on time. In addition, there was information about a fire at the Khedi Masaniya stubble heap in Uchana. There was information about a fire in the sugarcane field at Bhairokheda village in Julana. The fire was brought under control with the help of fire brigade vehicles. In this case, four-acre sugarcane crops were burnt. There was also information about a fire at the Kamach Kheda stubble heap in Julana. After receiving information about a rice straw fire in Jaipur village in Safidon area and a fire in a scrap shop in Kheda Khemavati, it was brought under control with the help of fire brigade vehicles. However, it is a relief that no fire caused by firecrackers has been reported in the district.

Despite the ban, massive fireworks spoiled the air
On the night of Diwali, when there were huge fireworks, the ICA increased again and reached the dangerous zone. Firecrackers began to explode in the city at 6:30 in the afternoon and even after midnight the echo of firecrackers could be heard in many neighborhoods of the city. The smoke rising intermittently from firecrackers was becoming a problem for common people. On Friday the maximum temperature was recorded at 33 degrees and the minimum at 17 degrees. While the wind speed remained at 10 kilometers per hour and the humidity remained at 28 percent. Due to the low wind speed in the morning, the AQI peaked at 345. As the day progressed, the weather cleared and the wind picked up, so the AQI remained around 297 throughout the day.
Meteorologist Dr Rajesh of Pandu Pindara Agricultural Sciences Center said that according to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear on November 2 and 3. The maximum temperature will be 35 and the minimum 20 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of a slight drop in maximum and minimum temperatures on November 3 and 4. At the same time, we must all take action together to stop pollution.
Meanwhile, Dr Rajesh Bhola, deputy of Civil Hospital, said that currently the air pollution level is in the poor category. The weather here is dangerous for allergies, breathing, and small children. Due to increased pollution, respiratory problems, asthma and allergies are increasing. In such a situation, allergic patients should go out very little during this period. You must wear a mask when going out.
