An encounter between terrorists and security forces took place in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Senior police officials said that one terrorist has been killed so far in the Bandipora operation, while one army jawan and one CRPF jawan have been injured.

Officials said security forces launched a cordon and search operation on Tuesday after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Choontpathri forest area in Bandipora district. He said the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the security forces retaliated.
