It has been three months since the incident of rape and murder of a medical student at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. However, the culprits have not yet been punished. The charge sheet has been submitted before the court by CBI. But young doctors say justice has not yet been served. Let us tell you that the body of a junior doctor was found at RG Kar Medical College Hospital on August 9. In this case, the police had arrested accused civic volunteer Sanjay Roy. He is currently detained in prison.
The West Bengal Young Doctors Front has called for a civil march that directly raises issues about the CBI. Demanding justice, he has called for a procession from College Square to Dharmatalla on November 9 at 3 pm.
He also said that images of the young doctors’ movement will also be shown that day. Along with them, a blood donation camp will also be organized at RG Kar Hospital.

Doctors raised questions over CBI charge sheet
Last Wednesday, the West Bengal Young Doctors Front called for a torch march. He took out a torchlight procession from the West Bengal Medical Council to the CGO Complex. The protesters had asked many questions that day. The junior doctors also raised questions on the CBI chargesheet that day.
Your question is that although the autopsy sample was taken on August 9, it was sent to the Central Forensic Laboratory on the 14th. Why so late? Sanjay Roy was arrested on the night of the 9th, but his blood-stained clothes were brought from the barracks on the 12th. So why was it so late?
The junior doctors further said that the charge sheet has a very specific timeline of the day of the incident, detailing what happened at different times. The parents of the deceased arrived at RG Kar hospital around 12:15 that day. But there is no mention of what happened after their arrival, or why they were unable to approach Abhaya’s body for three hours. Likewise, there is no mention of when the information about this incident was handed over to the Tala police station.
Doctors demand early punishment
Further, junior doctor Debashish Halder raised the question why the university authorities did not file an FIR. Why did Abhaya’s parents have to file an FIR? On the 9th, the creation of the Caesar Memo was completed at 10:45 p.m., the FIR was registered at 11:45 p.m., before Sanjay Roy was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Arresting a criminal so soon before the FIR is lodged naturally raises suspicions.
The junior doctor also said that Abhaya’s parents were not allowed near the body. They were not allowed to cremate the body. Why is the police so fast in funeral work? Who gave the order? By whose order were the people of the house not allowed to go there during the cremation?
He also said that according to the charge sheet, Sanjay Roy was admitted to RG Kar hospital at 3:20 am. Then I went to the trauma building at 3:34. He left at 3:36 in the morning and then went to the fourth floor (fifth floor) of the emergency building. At 4:30 in the morning, he was seen on security cameras in the thoracic medicine room on the third floor (fourth floor). Debashish Halder asked if Sanjay was on the fourth floor for about half an hour. What was Sanjay doing on the fourth floor?
