Kailash Gehlot
Kailash Gehlot, former Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi government minister, may join the BJP today. According to information, today at 12.30 pm he will join the party at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. Yesterday, i.e. Sunday, he resigned from Kejriwal’s party. First he resigned from the position of minister. After this he left the party again.
In his resignation, Kailash Kahlot fiercely attacked Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. When Kailash Gehlot resigned from the AAP yesterday, there was a huge uproar in Delhi politics. Gehlot was once very special to Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. He was a minister in the Kejriwal and Atishi cabinets. But in his resignation he made many important and serious allegations against the Kejriwal government.
Gehlot mentioned issues like Sheeshmahal and Yamuna. He called Sheeshmahal’s promise shameful. He said that during our rule Yamuna became dirtier than before. Gehlot said we could not even provide basic facilities to Delhi. He also said that the development of Delhi is not possible if we continue to fight against the Centre. Instead of fighting for the rights of the people, we fight for ends.
Kailash Gehlot also said that I joined Aam Aadmi Party after watching an honest party, but now this party is no longer honest. I had no option but to leave the Aam Aadmi Party. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the year 2015 and contested elections for the first time in the same year from Najafgarh assembly seat in southwest Delhi. He had won these elections.
In the year 2017, after taking oath as a cabinet minister, he became Transport Minister of Delhi. Also in the year 2020, he won the Najafgarh elections for the second consecutive time. He held the position of Minister of Transport since 2017.
