Kaithal News: Common people should be alert about road safety: DC Preeti

Due to the increase in pollution, it is recommended to use a minimum of vehicles.
Kaithal News (Aaj Samaj) Kaithal: In view of environmental pollution, DC Preeti has appealed to the general public to convey a message of environmental awareness using vehicles as little as possible. In addition, he has also called on drivers to be attentive to road safety in the face of fog that will occur in the morning and afternoon during climate change. He said that environmental pollution is a very serious problem. To control this, all concerned officials should work seriously. Proper disposal of city waste must be done on time. There should be no incidents of burning of garbage and crop residue anywhere. If anyone is caught doing this, action will be taken against him as per the rules. Additionally, it must be ensured that all instructions are followed during the construction of the building and during the movement of construction material.

DC Preeti said that high air pollution adversely affects people’s health and causes serious environmental risks. Especially the health of children, the elderly and people with respiratory diseases is deeply affected. He has appealed to the general public not to burn firecrackers etc. He has called on the general public not to go out unless necessary and to wear a mask when going out. Apart from this, DC Preeti asked drivers to be careful while driving vehicles in view of fog. He said visibility is reduced in foggy weather, so there is a possibility of accidents. If people drive carefully and respect traffic rules, the trip will be safe.

Keep a safe distance while driving

It said drivers should maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and fog lights and indicators should be kept on continuously. Also drive with low beams, as high beams reflect and impair visibility in fog. Avoid changing lanes and crossing traffic during fog. Don’t drink and drive. They must keep the speed of vehicles low and not use mobile phones, music, etc.
