Kaithal News (Aaj Samaj) Kaithal: A harrowing accident took place early on Monday morning in Guhla Cheeka town of the district. All the members of the house slept peacefully. But suddenly a large explosion occurred in two gas cylinders kept in the kitchen of the house. The house was completely damaged due to the simultaneous explosion of two cylinders. The accident was so serious that two girls of the family died after being buried under the rubble, while other members were buried under the rubble. Not only this, due to this powerful explosion, cracks have also appeared in the neighboring houses.
People buried under the rubble were removed and admitted to hospital for treatment. Neighbor Baljit Singh said that around 4 am a huge explosion occurred as the walls of many nearby houses cracked and the windows of many houses also broke.
Ambulance and fire crews arrived half an hour after the accident.
Half an hour after the accident, ambulance and fire crews arrived. By then, people nearby had already carried the wounded out from inside. The police also arrived after a long time. The family members said that all the relatives injured in the accident were first taken to Guhla government hospital, where doctors, seeing their critical condition, referred them to Patiala government hospital. The girls died on their way to Patiala for treatment. The girls’ mother, grandmother and grandfather were admitted to Patiala government hospital for treatment.
