(Gurugram News) Gurugram. Kalash Yatra was taken out on Tuesday ahead of the weekly Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Ashok Vihar Phase-3. A large number of women participated in the Kalash Yatra. The women participated in the procession, dancing and singing, carrying the Kalash. Omprakash Shastri narrates in the weekly Shrimad Bhagwat Katha.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is being organized by social workers Karmaveer and Pramila near Radha-Krishna temple in Ashok Vihar Phase-3. Kalash Yatra was carried out according to all the rituals. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the women for the trip. The women came to the yatra dressed in yellow clothes. The women were busy preparing for this trip since morning. A grand stage has also been prepared for narrator Omprakash Shastri’s narration.

Storyteller Om Prakash Shastri, while narrating the story to the devotees on the first day, said that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is not just a story, but is the essence of our life. Every thing, every incident related to our life can be understood in Shrimad Bhagwat. He said that when virtue arises, that ritual is performed. Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is an immortal story. Upon hearing this, sins are washed away. The essence of the Vedas has been reaching humanity for centuries. He said that Sukhdev Muni ji was the first to narrate the story of Bhagwat to King Parikshit. He was cursed to die in seven days from Takshak’s bite. He said that drinking the nectar of Srimad Bhagwat Katha destroys all sins.
