Three girls drowned in the swimming pool of a private resort in Mangaluru. The incident took place at a private resort near Uchila beach on the outskirts of Mangaluru. The three girls have been identified as Nishita MD, 21, Parvati, 20, and Keerthana N, 21, and their families have been informed about the matter. The three girls are said to be from Mysore.

The deceased Nishita, Parvati and Keerthana had arrived at the resort on November 16, where they rented a room. Among the three of them, Nishita went to the pool but didn’t know how to swim. After getting into the pool, Nishita seemed uncomfortable, so Parvati herself went into the pool to see her. Parvati, who entered the pool to save Nishita, also drowned. Seeing them both, her third friend, Kirtana, also went to the pool, but her attempt also failed and the three of them drowned.

After this, information about the matter was given to the police, then Ullal police reached the spot and investigated. Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Aggarwal reached the spot and took stock of the incident. He said that the three girls had entered the pool at ten in the morning on Sunday. A girl who didn’t know how to swim. She went deeper and got stuck. The other two girls had entered the pool to save him and also drowned.

He further said that the three girls are residents of Mysore and were engineering students in the final year. There was no lifeguard in the complex. No depth information has been given on the information panel. Police said this is also being investigated. After this accident, the police arrested two people, including the owner of the complex, Manohar, and are questioning them. While talking to TV9, AC Harsh Vardhan said that the permission of the complex has been temporarily cancelled. We will keep it sealed until the investigation is complete. He clearly said that due to deficiencies at the resort, it was sealed.
