A local court in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district on Friday sentenced a man and his four children to life imprisonment in a murder case. District and sessions judge Anupam Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 24,000 on each convict. At the same time, the victim’s family says that this decision is not only to provide justice but also a strong message for society.
District government lawyer Someshwar Kumar Tiwari said that on June 9, 2023, Kamta Prasad had lodged a complaint with the police saying that his father Munna Lal was murdered by Ramchandra of the same village and his sons Sanjay, Roopchand, Indraraj and Brijraj with sticks. to a land dispute. They killed him with clubs and an axe. After the incident, a seriously injured Munna Lal was taken to the hospital for treatment.

But doctors declared him dead. Following this, the police registered a murder case against the five accused. Based on the evidence and testimony presented during the hearing of the case, the court convicted Ramachandra and his sons. After this, they were sentenced to life imprisonment and were also fined Rs 24,000 each.
