New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday officially launched its campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections to be held in February 2025. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal attended the launch programme. He also talked about the issue of Revadis. The Revadis issue has been a central theme of the party’s electoral strategy. Kejriwal’s speech aimed to explain the party’s approach towards welfare policies and respond to opposition criticism over the provision of free services.
The Delhi Assembly elections for all 70 constituencies are scheduled to be held on or before February 2025. The last assembly elections were held in February 2020. After the elections, the AAP formed the state government and Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister for a third term. The term of the 7th Delhi Assembly is scheduled to end on February 15, 2025.

AAP took the lead in declaring candidates

Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday released its first list of 11 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections 2025. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party has also given tickets to former BJP leaders Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha and BB Tyagi , as well as former Congress leaders Chaudhary Zubair Ahmed, Veer Dhingan and Sumesh Shaukeen, who recently joined the AAP, in the list. . Brahm Singh Tanwar had recently joined the AAP on October 31. The party has given him ticket from Chhatarpur. The AAP has expressed confidence in Kirari’s Anil Jha. Two-time MLA Anil Jha joined the AAP on November 17. Bibi Tyagi, a two-time councillor, has been named as the AAP candidate from Laxmi Nagar. From Seelampur, the Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to Chaudhary Zuber Ahmed, son of veteran Congress leader and five-time MLA Matin Ahmed. Veer Singh Dhingan, who has been a Congress leader, will contest from Seemapuri. Sumesh Shaukeen will be the AAP candidate from Matiala, who quit the Congress and joined the Aam Aadmi Party on November 18. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party has given a ticket to Manoj Tyagi from Karawal Nagar. Gaurav Sharma will contest from Gond. Ram Singh Netaji will be the candidate from Badarpur. Deepak Singla will contest against Vishwas Nagar and Sarita Singh from Rohtas Nagar on the Aam Aadmi Party ticket.
