A gang of robbers stole cash worth Rs 1 million and 300 gold coins from the house of a prominent businessman in Kannur, Kerala. The vicious robbers committed this crime when the owner of the house had gone to Madurai, Tamil Nadu, to attend a wedding ceremony.
The matter is from Valapattanam in Kannur district. Regarding this incident, police said on Monday that this robbery incident occurred at a time when no one was home. A police officer told PTI that the theft was discovered when the family members returned on Sunday night and found valuables kept in the locker missing.
Police sources said that the inhabitants of the house had been outside the house since November 19. It is suspected that the thieves entered the house by cutting the grill on the kitchen window. In the CCTV footage you can see three people climbing the wall of the complex and entering the house.
A family member of the victim told the media that money, gold and other valuables were kept locked in the closet and her key was kept in another room. Despite this, the thieves carried out this crime.
A police team and fingerprint experts reached the crime scene and collected evidence and a massive search operation is underway to nab the accused. So far the police have not found any clues about the thieves.
