Union Minister Kiren Rijiju was on a three-day visit to his home state Arunachal Pradesh where he celebrated the Diwali festival with army personnel. He participated in this festival with army soldiers in Tawang, Arunachal. Apart from Tawang, the Union Minister also participated in Diwali celebrations at many other places including Bumla. On this occasion he praised the dedication and bravery of the armed forces.
He wrote on his social media: I feel proud to celebrate Diwali with our soldiers. Our country is safe only because of your dedication and bravery. During his visit he participated in the “Run for Unity” and also unveiled the statues of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Major Bob Khathing. During this trip, he also went to the Chinese border and talked to the soldiers there. Rijiju also took stock of the development work carried out by the Central Government.
Visit to the China border
The Union Minister visited the border with China and spoke to the Chinese soldiers present there. He has shared a video of this about his ex. In the video, the Union Minister is seen asking the Chinese soldiers: Don’t you have any problem due to the weather? To this the Chinese soldier responded that no, there is no problem.
Proud of the development on the border
In the video shared on his account, the Union Minister praised the development work done by the government on the border with China. He wrote that after talking to Chinese soldiers and seeing the infrastructure, I can say that now all Indians will feel proud to see the work done on the border.
The situation on the India-China border is becoming normal. Soldiers from both countries started patrolling in Demchok sector in eastern Ladakh. These patrols began after the withdrawal agreed between the two countries. Following tension in relations between the two countries following the 2020 Galwan clash, the situation is now expected to normalise.
