Saurabh Chaudhary, member of the Geeta Mahotsav International Fair Authority, said renowned artists of the country will illuminate the memorable moments of the Mahabharata period with their feathers at the Geeta Mahotsav International Fair. 350 artists from different states of the country attend this festival. These artists will also receive a cash prize for creating the most beautiful mural. KDB has also allocated a budget of around Rs 3 lakh for these artists.
350 artists from different states will come to International Geeta Mahotsav
While speaking here today, MLA Saurabh Chaudhary said that as per the orders of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, this time 350 renowned artists from different states of the country have been invited to the International Geeta Mahotsav. These artists will prepare 100 framed wall paintings keeping in mind the theme of Mahabharata and the holy book Geeta. This painting will be done on both sides of the GT Road flyover near Geeta Dwar and on GT Road near sectors 2 and 3. The KDB has reserved a space for these paintings and for this the artists have also been given some guidelines necessary.
100 mural paintings will be done in NH-44 Geeta Dwar and sectors 2 and 3.
He said that first and second prizes will also be awarded to the paintings made by these artists so that artists from all over the country can be encouraged. The KDB has set a budget of Rs 3 lakh for the prize money of these artists. These artists have been given time until December 4 to prepare the painting and on December 5 the painting will be opened to the general public. Orissa has been included as a partner state in the International Gita Mahotsav 2024. Documentaries on the culture of this state will also be prepared.
He said that this painting will welcome the tourists and citizens who come to the Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav International, because this painting will attract the people and tourists of Delhi and Chandigarh. KDB has made various arrangements for the artists. The art of these artists will inspire the young artists of Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra. This event will be an attractive and fascinating event in itself. This will also enhance the beauty of Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra.
