Notification may be issued in December, elections may be held in January
Kurukshetra News (Current Society) Kurukshetra: Elections to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee are likely to be held soon. It is said that a notification regarding the elections could be issued in December. Elections may be held in January. In this regard, the leaders of the Sikh community have started preparations for the elections. Preparations have begun to present candidates for their respective groups.
A few days ago, leaders of the Sikh community held a meeting with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Haryana Gurudwara Election Commission Chairman Justice HS Bhalla over early holding of elections. It is noteworthy that the term of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee ended in May. Sikh leaders have been demanding early elections ever since. Sikh Samaj Sanstha president Didar Singh Nalvi said that we have selected 28 candidates.
