The former deputy commissioner of Lahore is considered a strong candidate. Let us tell you that ASP Shahrabano Naqvi is the same police officer who rose to fame earlier this year. In fact, in February he had saved a woman wearing an Arabic-print kurta from a mob attack in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar. The crowd surrounded him considering it blasphemy. This crowd raised slogans to separate the girl’s head from her body. But Sheharbano Naqvi bravely pulled the woman out of the crowd.

ASP Syeda Shahrabano Naqvi has studied Public Management. In 2019, he passed the Pakistan Civil Services exam. She has also been Deputy Director of the Intelligence Office. Sheharbano Naqvi stopped the euthanasia of police dogs by building a Police Animal Rescue Centre. Previously, sniffer dogs were “euthanized” after 8 years of service, but now the dogs respectfully retire from the police. Apart from this, she has started many organizations like Protection Center for the safety of women and children.
