A period of change is underway at the Pakistan Cricket Board. Many major changes have been seen so far during the tenure of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The white ball captain of the men’s cricket team has recently been announced. At the same time, the coach has left his position. Now a big news has come out related to Pakistan women’s cricket. Pakistan women’s cricket chief Tania Malik has resigned from her position. In such a situation, PBC has started searching for a new director of women’s cricket. The name of a policewoman is also included in this race.

‘Lady Singham’ to enter Pakistan cricket!

ASP Syeda Shahrabano Naqvi is reportedly among the candidates being considered for the post of Pakistan Women’s Cricket chief. The former deputy commissioner of Lahore is considered a strong candidate. Let us tell you that ASP Shahrabano Naqvi is the same police officer who rose to fame earlier this year. In fact, in February he had saved a woman wearing an Arabic-print kurta from a mob attack in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar. The crowd surrounded him considering it blasphemy. This crowd raised slogans to separate the girl’s head from her body. But Sheharbano Naqvi bravely pulled the woman out of the crowd.

Who is ASP Syeda Shahrabano Naqvi?

ASP Syeda Shahrabano Naqvi has studied Public Management. In 2019, he passed the Pakistan Civil Services exam. She has also been Deputy Director of the Intelligence Office. Sheharbano Naqvi stopped the euthanasia of police dogs by building a Police Animal Rescue Centre. Previously, sniffer dogs were “euthanized” after 8 years of service, but now the dogs respectfully retire from the police. Apart from this, she has started many organizations like Protection Center for the safety of women and children.

Great statement from PCB COO Salman Naseer

Let us tell you that Tania Malik started her tenure at PCB in October 2021. But she has now left this position in search of new career opportunities. PCB COO Salman Naseer said in a statement: ‘Tania has worked dedicatedly to promote women’s cricket in Pakistan, taking grassroots steps to expand the pool of players. The PCB appreciates her hard work, dedication and contributions, and we wish Tania every success in her future endeavors.
