Voting today for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and 38 assembly seats in Jharkhand.
Voting will be held in 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and 38 assembly seats in Jharkhand in the second phase today i.e. Wednesday. In Maharashtra it is done in one phase, while in Jharkhand it is done in two phases. Voting for the first phase in Jharkhand was held on November 13. The electoral fight in Maharashtra is mainly fought between two alliances.
All seats in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be polled today in the second phase. There are a total of 4,140 candidates for 288 seats in Maharashtra. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. 38 seats will also be polled in the second phase of Jharkhand. Apart from this, by-elections will also be held in 15 assemblies and one Lok Sabha seat in 5 states. This also includes 9 UP assembly seats where votes will be cast. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will meet his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun. This meeting between the two leaders will take place during the two-day summit of 10 ASEAN nations.
