A poll was conducted at Shahi Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, which created quite a stir. The mosque was said to be a temple. After this, the matter related to the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer district of Rajasthan reached the court. On this matter, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that it is the legal duty of the courts to implement the 1991 Act. It is very unfortunate that the law and the Constitution are being violated to fulfill the agenda of Hindutva organizations and Narendra Modi observes in silence. .

A hearing was held on the petition filed in the court on Wednesday regarding the Ajmer Dargah probe. In the petition, the Hindu side describes Ajmer Sharif Dargah as a Hindu temple. After this, the court has given notice to all parties and the next hearing will be on December 20.

What did Owaisi say?

Asaduddin Owaisi posted on social media People have followed his example for centuries and will continue to do so, Inshallah. Many kings, maharajas and emperors have come and gone, but the Astan of Khwaja Ajmeri is still inhabited.

The Places of Worship Act 1991 clearly states that the religious identity of any place of worship cannot be changed, nor will these cases be heard in court. It is the legal duty of the courts to implement the Act of 1991. It is very unfortunate that the law and the Constitution are being violated to fulfill the agenda of Hindutva systems and Narendra Modi watches silently.

What’s the whole deal?

This petition was filed in the court on behalf of Hindu Sena president Vishnu Gupta. President Vishnu Gupta had raised issues related to the Dargah and sought legal intervention. However, now the next hearing in this case will be held on December 20, where the parties’ arguments and documents will be presented. At the same time, the national president of the Hindu Sena says that this issue is related to the religious beliefs of the Hindu society. During the last court hearing, a special book was presented as evidence to corroborate the claim. Citing this book, it was stated in court that there was a Hindu temple in the Dargah.
