Uncle and niece consumed poison in Maharajganj
A relationship-threatening case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district, where a maternal uncle fell in love with his own sister-in-law. The love between them grew so much that they both consumed poison for fear of being far from each other. Both are currently under treatment in hospital in critical condition. The police have registered a case based on the statements of both of them and their family members and further action is being taken.
According to information, this whole matter takes place in a locality in Nichlaul where uncle and niece consumed poison together on Thursday. Seeing that their condition was worsening, the family took them to the hospital. If their condition did not improve after treatment at the Community Health Centre, they were referred to the district hospital where both were undergoing treatment. While both were receiving treatment, a police officer arrived there, whom the maternal uncle asked to save him and his niece.
First my niece, then I myself consumed poison.
When the police officer wanted to know the whole matter from him, the uncle told him that he was having an affair with his niece. They both want to live and die together. That’s why he bought poison at the store. First he gave poison to his niece and then he himself consumed poison. After this, when the policeman reached the niece, the niece told him that the uncle had mixed something in the water. The uncle made him drink it along with chow mein. Shortly after drinking it, he began to have severe stomach pains. The niece’s age is said to be 15 years old.
The police are investigating
When the mother found out that her daughter had consumed poison, she returned from her in-laws to her parents’ house. Upon arriving at the hospital, he told the police that his daughter’s health had deteriorated 15 days ago. After which she took him to her maternal home for treatment, left him here and returned. The mother said she had no fear from such actions of her brother and daughter. Nichlaul CO Anuj Singh said the uncle and niece are being treated at the hospital. The matter is being investigated and legal action is being taken.
