Lucknow Super Giants team has created history in the mega auction IPL 2025. The team bought Rishabh Pant in the mega auction for Rs 27 crore. He has become the most expensive player in the IPL. He is a great candidate to become Lucknow’s captain. Prior to this, he had captained Delhi Capitals. The Lucknow team has been participating in the IPL since 2022, but has failed to win the title even once.
Avesh Khan bought for Rs 9.75 crore
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, the Lucknow Super Giants team bought many star players by paying huge amounts of money. The team has included Avesh Khan in their camp for Rs 9.75 crore. And 8 crores have been paid for Akash Deep. These players have already performed well in the IPL and know how to win the title for the team on their own. Apart from this, players like Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed have also been added.
Players like Miller and Marsh were added to the team.
In the auction, the Lucknow team bought David Miller (Rs 7.50 crore), Mitchell Marsh (Rs 3.40 crore), Aiden McCram and Shamar Joseph as foreign players. Joseph was also with the Lucknow team earlier. He has returned to the team through RTM. Miller and McCram are experts at playing big innings and can change the course of the match in just a few balls.
Five players were retained
Before the auction, the Lucknow Super Giants team had retained five players including Nicholas Puran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni. These players had performed well in Lucknow last season, so LSG rewarded them by retaining them. Manyak is capable of throwing the ball at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour.
