The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that it will give 35 per cent reservation to women in government jobs. In the cabinet meeting held in the capital Bhopal on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Parliament Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, it was decided to increase the reservation of women in government jobs to 35 per cent.
According to Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla, women will now have a 35 per cent reservation in any recruitment made in government services in MP. Earlier there was 30 per cent reservation for women in government jobs in the state, which was later increased to 33 per cent and has now been increased to 35 per cent. This is considered a very important step towards women empowerment.
