Maharana Pratap’s descendants clash over Mewar throne, BJP MLA to be crowned with blood today – Maharana Pratap’s descendants clash over Mewar throne bjp mla vishwaraj singh blood coronation lclr

There is a war between the descendants of Maharana Pratap over who is the true heir of the Chittorgarh Fort and the princely state of Udaipur. The princely states around Udaipur have decided that Vishwaraj Singh Mewar, son of BJP MLA Rajsamand and eldest son of Udaipur royal family Mahendra Singh Mewar, will be presented with a personalized turban at the Chittorgarh Fort today. This tradition is followed after the death of Mahendra Singh Mewar. Vishvaraj Singh’s wife is also a BJP MP from Rajsamand.

On the other hand, younger son and former Maharaja Arvind Singh Mewar and his son Crown Prince Lakshyaraj Singh, who live in the City Palace, have termed it completely illegal. He says the Mewar royal family is run through a trust whose management has been entrusted to him by his father. The former Maharaja has overthrown the elder son Mahendra Singh Mewar and his family from the royal throne of Udaipur, so the right to the throne belongs to the younger son Arvind Singh Mewar and his son Lakshyaraj Singh.

conflict situation

On the other hand, after being declared king in Chittorgarh, Vishvaraj Singh wants to go to the City Palace of Udaipur and pay homage at the Dhuni site and then visit the temple of Eklingji Maharaj. But the current trust chief Arvind Singh Mewar declared it illegal and said BJP MLA Vishwaraj Singh will not be allowed to enter both the places. Large advertisements have also been published in the newspapers about it.

District Collector Arvind Poswal says whatever situation arises, a decision will be taken. We have held several meetings to convince both parties. On the other hand, former Maharaja of Bhinder Randhir Singh Bhinder says that the program is already decided and after the program in Chittorgarh, we will go to City Palace Dhuni. The administration tried to mediate but things did not work out.

The coronation will be done with blood.

Preparations have been made to perform the turban dastur, i.e. coronation of Vishwa Raj Singh, on November 25 at 10 am at Fatah Prakash Mahal in Chittorgarh district. In the programme, Rawat Devbrat Singh of Salumber will hold hands with Shivraj Singh and seat him on the throne of Mewar and in this ritual the tradition of applying tilak with blood will also be repeated. The tradition of making Tilak with blood started during the time of Maharana Pratap, when Kumkum was not available to make Tilak, then Major Rawat, a descendant of Chunda ji, made the coronation of Kunwar Pratap with blood by cutting his finger at Gogunda.

What is the old dispute?

The dispute over the throne of Udaipur is very old. There has been a lot of conflict between elder son Mahendra Singh Mewar and younger son Arvind Singh Mewar regarding this. This case continues in many courts, however, currently, through the Mewar Charitable Trust, the youngest son, Arvind Singh Mewar, occupies the throne of the royal family of Udaipur and lives in the City Palace. The eldest sons lived far from the Udaipur fort, but the eldest son had more influence in the nearby princely states.
