Voting for the assembly elections will be held in Maharashtra on Wednesday, November 20. All political parties gave all their strength for the elections. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, just a day before the poll, former Pune IPS officer Ravindranath Patil made a huge allegation against faction leader Sharad Pawar and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule and Speaker Maharashtra Congress, Nana Patole. It says both leaders misappropriated Bitcoin in cryptocurrency fraud. Both are using the cash received in exchange for Bitcoin in the assembly elections.
Now MP Supriya Sule has written a letter to the Election Commission and filed a complaint regarding these allegations. He has filed a cyber fraud complaint with the Election Commission of India against Gaurav Mehta and former Pune IPS officer Ravindranath Patil. Sule’s lawyer said in the letter that a cyber fraud complaint should be filed immediately against Gaurav Mehta and Ravindranath Patil. He said both NCP leaders are spreading false information against Supriya Sule.

‘Accusations made to tarnish image’
The letter writes that all this has been done with the aim of defaming through the use of digital media, which is a serious crime. These allegations are not only false but are also tarnishing the image of Supriya Sule and attempts are being made to defame her. It has further been said that an FIR should be registered in this matter and immediate action should be taken against such persons.
“Spreading fake news to deceive people”
Clarifying the allegations against her, Supriya Sule said that tactics of spreading fake news are being adopted to mislead voters. Sharing a post on social media, he said that just hours before voting in the state, tactics of spreading false information are being adopted to mislead voters. He said that we have filed a criminal complaint with the Election Commission of India and the Cyber Crime Department against false allegations of misuse of Bitcoin. Supriya Sule has called it a lie and condemnable.
