The opposition Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance organized Swabhiman Sabha on Wednesday in connection with the Maharashtra elections. Leaders of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar), etc. They participated in it and issued their five guarantees for the next elections. In this rally organized at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the song ‘Jayastute’ written by Savarkar was sung in praise of freedom and motherland.

This song was sung before addressing the program by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, a staunch critic of Savarkar. Now various kinds of debates have been started in political circles in this regard. At the same time, political experts say the BJP may now make it an election issue and attack the opposition.

Let us tell you that only a few days are left for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. After sharing seats in MVA and Mahayuti, now election promises have also started to be issued. In this sequence, MVA issued its five guarantees on Wednesday. These include monthly financial assistance to women, loan waiver for farmers, financial assistance to unemployed, health insurance for families, etc.

These are the five guarantees of MVA-

1.Mahalakshmi: The women will receive financial assistance of Rs 3,000 per month and free transportation in government buses across Maharashtra.

2. Agricultural Prosperity: Farm loans of up to Rs 3 lakh will be waived for all farmers in Maharashtra. Additionally, farmers who consistently repay their loans will receive an incentive payment of Rs 50,000.

3. Yuvakanna Words: Every unemployed youth in Maharashtra will receive a monthly assistance of Rs 4,000.

4. Family Protection: Affordable health insurance of Rs 25 lakh will be provided to all families in Maharashtra. Essential medicines will be provided free of charge in government hospitals.

5. Hami Equality: A socio-economic caste census will be conducted in Maharashtra to protect marginalized communities and ensure their rights. After the caste census, we will remove the 50% limit on reservation.

The elections will be held on November 20

Voting will be held for 288 Maharashtra assembly seats on November 20. The results will be announced on November 23. In the last elections, the BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats. However, after the elections, the Shiv Sena broke away from the NDA and formed the government with the NCP-Congress. Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena became the Chief Minister. There was internal discord in Shiv Sena in June 2022. Following this, Eknath Shinde sacked 40 MPs from the party. Eknath Shinde became Chief Minister with the support of the BJP. Now Shiv Sena is divided into two groups. Sharad Pawar’s NCP has also split into two factions – Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar.
