Murder at the train station: There was a stir at a Mumbai train station when a minor stabbed his traveling companion to death. According to the police, there was a dispute between the accused and the victim over a seat on the local train. Meanwhile, the minor lost his temper and pulled out a knife and attacked the person.
A Mumbai Police official said Friday that a 16-year-old boy stabbed a person to death at the train station. The man had fought with the aggressor boy over a seat on the local train. After this he committed this terrible incident.
The police officer told PTI about the incident in which the Kurla railway police on Wednesday detained a minor and arrested his elder brother in connection with the attack on the Ghatkopar station of the central railway on November 15.
According to the police, on November 14, the victim Ankush Bhagwan Bhalerao had boarded the express train from Titwala to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal. During the trip, a heated argument broke out between Ankush and the minor over the seat and during this the person slapped the minor.
After this, the next morning, Ankush went to Ghatkopar in the same train and was strolling on platform number 4. Then suddenly, the teenager approached him and attacked him with a knife. Ankush was left bleeding in the attack. He suffered serious injuries. So he was shifted to Rajawadi Hospital. But the local doctors declared him dead.
The police officer said that based on the footage from the police station’s security cameras, the police detained the minor and arrested his brother, who had helped him hide the evidence. He said that during interrogation the minor confessed to the murder.
According to the police, the accused minor had hidden the knife on the roof of his house. Not only that, but he had cut his hair to hide his identity. He said the accused has been sent to a juvenile reformatory.
