Anjali Tanwar is just 22 years old, but she is doing her best to connect education-deprived children with the mainstream of society by providing them free education. This unique effort by Anjali Tanwar to impart literacy skills to children of families living in the slums of Satnali city has been going on continuously for about five years and she too is finding success.

While continuing her own education, when Anjali saw the children who lived in the slum in front of her house playing all day, she felt sorry for the future of these children and forced her to think. From that very day, Anjali decided to impart literacy knowledge to these children, gathered all the children and discovered their desire to study. The enthusiasm for studying was visible among the children, but the constraint of their family’s economic limitations also came to the fore.

After this, Anjali discussed this with Neeraj Satnali, director of Gramin Seva Trust, a small initiative in the city, and the members of the Trust, with the aim of making these children literate, organized 14 classes for the children living in slums. marginals in the name of Anjali Free Pathshala inaugurated the school on the occasion of Children’s Day in November 2019. Anjali Tanwar herself plays the role of a teacher in the school and imparts alphabet knowledge to the children.

The positive result is that today many children are admitted to public schools after having entered school. After inaugurating the school, Anjali’s campaign was highly appreciated and several social organizations also got support in its functioning. A small initiative: Members of Gramin Seva Trust provide study material to the children of Jhuggi Jhopri Pathshala from time to time, while conscious people of the city and surrounding villages organize their personal rituals like birthdays, marriage anniversaries, death anniversaries or festivals at Jhuggi Jhopri Pathshala. When Anjali started this campaign, she was a grade 11 student, and in addition to school, Anjali also continued her own studies. Now Anjali has graduated from Satnali Government College in first division and is also preparing for a competitive exam along with master’s degree in History.

Now Anjali, who belongs to a middle-class family, wants to do something for the welfare of the society and carrying forward this thought, she actively participates in social work and runs a free school. It also actively plays its role in environmental protection, blood donation and organizing medical camps. Even during the Covid period, Anjali, with the help of various social organisations, has made arrangements to provide ration etc. to the families living in these slums. in.

Anjali Tanwar, who teaches literacy to children deprived of education, has really made a successful effort to give a new direction to children away from mainstream education.
