Mahendragarh News (Aaj Samaj) Mahendragarh: Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Central University of Haryana (HKVI), has been included in Clarivate’s Most Cited Researchers list of 2024 for the second consecutive year. He has received this prestigious honor for his extraordinary global contribution in the field of agricultural biotechnology and plant science. Its inclusion on this list for the second consecutive year reflects its commitment to research.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated Dr. Rupesh on his achievement. Dean of Research of the University, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma also congratulated Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh. He said that this achievement of Dr. Rupesh will also be inspiring for other faculty members. Let us tell you here that only six Indian scientists are included in Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list, which also includes Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh.

6,636 researchers from more than 1,200 institutions were included

The list, compiled by Clarivate’s Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), includes 6,636 researchers from more than 1,200 institutions in 59 countries and territories. This selection has been made based on the analysis of data from the Web of Science Core Collection Citation Index and the qualitative evaluation carried out by ISI experts. Dr. Deshmukh’s revolutionary contribution to scientific research on crops has earned him international recognition. His decade-long research has significantly improved the understanding of water and solute transport in several species via the aquaporin transport system.
