He has received this prestigious honor for his extraordinary global contribution in the field of agricultural biotechnology and plant science. Its inclusion on this list for the second consecutive year reflects its commitment to research.

6,636 researchers from more than 1,200 institutions were included
The list, compiled by Clarivate’s Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), includes 6,636 researchers from more than 1,200 institutions in 59 countries and territories. This selection has been made based on the analysis of data from the Web of Science Core Collection Citation Index and the qualitative evaluation carried out by ISI experts. Dr. Deshmukh’s revolutionary contribution to scientific research on crops has earned him international recognition. His decade-long research has significantly improved the understanding of water and solute transport in several species via the aquaporin transport system.
