(Mahendragarh News) Mahendragarh. Haryana Central University (HCU), Mahendragarh, has received approval for a grant of Rs 273.47 crore from the Higher Education Financing Agency (HIFA), Ministry of Education, Government of India, for seven major projects . The purpose of this grant is to develop educational, research, and resources for the university, state, and surrounding areas. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that under this grant amount, Rs 91.08 million have been allocated for the construction of the Central Equipment Center and the purchase of equipment for this centre. This center will prove useful to the university and affiliated institutions in conducting scientific research.

The vice-chancellor said that with the grant received from the Ministry of Education, Rs 136.02 million will be spent on the construction of a new academic building and two new women’s hostels for the School of Engineering and Technology. This building will improve the availability of resources necessary for the development of engineering education. Rs 6.64 million have been provided for the construction of 16 new lecture halls and Rs 23.17 million for the construction of a computer center in the university. With the help of which activities ranging from computing to the development of educational facilities and research will be strengthened.
University Registrar Prof. Sunil Kumar said that for the development of sports facilities in the university, a multipurpose hall will be constructed at a cost of Rs 16.56 crore. Through which the carrying out of activities related to the sports training academy will pave the way for the comprehensive development of the students. Pro. Sunil Kumar said that these projects will definitely contribute to the development of high quality education and research facilities for the students, faculty of the university and other stakeholders at the local and state level. The Higher Education Funding Agency (HIFA) grant reflects the commitment to excellence in education and research at HQE. The University will definitely try to ensure a significant contribution to the development of higher education and innovation in India through this.
