Mahindra XEV 9e Price and Features: Mahindra has finally officially launched its new flagship electric model ‘Mahindra XEV 9e’ on sale after a long wait. The starting price of this all-electric coupe-style SUV has been set at Rs 21.90 lakh. What is the most expensive car the company offers. The company also introduced its electric SUV ‘BE 6e’, which is priced starting at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the moment, the company has announced prices only for the base variant of the XEV 9e. Prices for all its other variants will be announced in January next year. It is also important to note here that the price mentioned above does not include the cost of the charger. The company offers two types of chargers as standard. So customers will have to pay separately. The company says delivery is expected to begin in February-March next year.

Talking about size, it is bigger than Mahindra’s famous XUV700 model. Its length is approximately 5 mm longer than that of the XUV700, while its wheelbase is also 5 mm longer than that of the XUV at 2,750 mm. Thanks to which you also get a better cabin.

It also features flush door handles, muscular shoulder lines and specially designed and aerodynamically optimized 19-inch alloy wheels for extra reach. However, the option of 20-inch alloy wheels is also available with this SUV. At the rear, it gets slim LED taillights connected just below the trunk spoiler, enhancing its rear profile. Apart from this, the illuminated ‘Infiniti Mahindra’ logo looks quite attractive.

Mahindra has spared no effort in improving the cabin of this SUV. This 5-seater car has 3 different screens. In which each screen is 12.3 inches. These run on Mahindra’s Adrenox software. This SUV has been equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom, on which there is an illuminated logo. The electronic parking brake, drive mode and brake-by-wire technology have also been used very well. The 650-litre boot space and the 150-litre boot (small storage space under the front bonnet) offer complete luggage storage capacity.

The XEV 9e features Mahindra’s ‘compact three-in-one powertrain’, which consists of a motor, inverter and transmission. Based on the INGLO platform, this SUV was introduced with two different battery packs, including 59 kWh and 79 kWh. With a large battery, its motor generates a power of 286 HP and a torque of 380 Nm. The engine of the 59 kWh variant generates a power of 231 HP. Mahindra claims that this electric SUV takes just 6.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.

Driving and charging range:

LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery is provided in both variants. On which the company offers a lifetime guarantee. Mahindra claims that the car with 79 kWh unit offers a range of 656 km on a single charge. In the real world, this SUV is capable of traveling at least 533 kilometers. The company claims that using a 175 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
