The Purnia police in Bihar arrested 35 accused in the case, revealing major manipulation at the Central SSC examination centre. Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma said seven false employees and candidates were also among the arrested accused. Police recovered three laptops, one printer, 18 mobile phones, two motorcycles, two cars, 12 blank checks, 22 ATM cards, 52 Aadhar cards, 40 e-admission cards, etc. from the possession of the accused along with Rs 4.50 lakh in cash.

The MTS exam was conducted at the exam center called Digital Test Center on Hansda Road of Purnia Sadar Police Station. The police had indications of manipulation in the exam.
