The Central Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has canceled the three-shift multi-tasking staff (SSC MTS) exam held at a center in Purnia district of Bihar. This decision was made after alleged irregularities at this examination center came to light. In addition, 35 people have been arrested accused of irregularities in the exam.
The Bihar Police arrested 35 people for allegedly creating irregularities during the Central Staff Selection Commission (SSC) multi-tasking staff (SSC MTS) examination at a center in Purnia district. Officials provided this information on Thursday.
The police officer said that among those arrested were 12 fraudsters, seven examination center employees, 12 candidates and six other people. During the action, police seized 12 blank checks, 3 laptops, 18 mobile phones, 22 ATM cards, 52 Aadhar cards, one printer, one four-wheeler and Rs 4.20 lakh in cash.
According to the PTI report, Purnia SP Karthikeya K. Sharma said that based on a tip-off, a police team raided the Purnia Digital Examination Center located in Gulabbagh area, where the SSC examination for MTS was being held on 14 November. During the action, the police discovered that 12 fraudsters were solving the exam questions on behalf of other candidates. The fraudsters were arrested on the spot.
Further investigation revealed that 12 other candidates, who were supposed to be inside the exam center, were actually solving the exam in a nearby building. Along with these people, two other people were also arrested. It was also revealed that many employees of Purnia Digital Examination Center were involved in this fraud. Police said seven employees of the center have been arrested for their involvement in the riot.
Now the SSC MTS exam will be held on November 19.

According to the notice published on the Commission’s regional website, the MTS 2024 exam scheduled in all three shifts on November 14, 2024 was canceled for administrative reasons. Whose exam will now be conducted again on November 19, 2024.
More information was given in the notification that the new admit card of the candidates has been uploaded on the registered email id of the candidates and on the official website of the Commission, ssc-cr.org. Candidates will now have to report to the examination center given in the admit card.
