Market. Former Chief Minister and opposition leader Jairam Thakur has said that Himachal Pradesh does not belong to the ruling party alone, it is ours, it belongs to all of us. We are all equally concerned about the economic situation as the government. Today the situation in the state is such that the government’s priority is only to save the government and the CPS. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is only busy saving his chair, while development in the state is at a standstill. Today Congress has forgotten to fulfill on time the guarantees given in the assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Jairam Thakur said that there is some conspiracy seen in the kind of decisions being taken in the name of economic reforms. He said the Congress Party is not fit to run the government. Even during the Corona period, the BJP did not seize the property of any government department or hand it over to the private sector, while the Congress did not even appeal court orders in the interest of the State. On the other hand, government money is being wasted mobilizing an army of lawyers to Delhi to save their favorite CPS seats. Lawyers are being brought from Delhi to Shimla as guests of the State, but despite this the government has not been able to save its CPS today.
Jairam Thakur alleged that the situation Himachal has reached today has been due to the lack of maturity of the current leadership. Because in the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, hasty decisions are taken, due to which not only the economic crisis increases but also the infighting in the Congress party increases. Now the political situation is becoming such that if the government falls, the reason will be only political.
Jairam Thakur said that from the way the court has given its decisions recently, it seems that Congress cannot run the government and the court itself has to take decisions in the interest of the State. He said that the Congress has crossed all limits of lies and has talked about fulfilling ten guarantees in Himachal Pradesh even in the elections being held in other states, which is shameful.
The opposition leader also refuted the allegations made by the Congress Party, saying that even during the Jairam Thakur government, the Tourism Corporation hotels were handed over to private hands and the state government will bring an inquiry into it. Jairam Thakur said the state government should carry out the investigation with an open mind and is fully prepared for all types of investigation. The ADB also provided the budget for the new hotels we built in Janjehli, Solan and Manali. I got it from the bank. Its only condition was that it be managed solely in the private sector so that profits could be generated and tourism could also fly in new areas.
Jairam Thakur said none of this had happened during his tenure as Chief Minister. Jairam Thakur said that even before the court orders, the state government had hatched a conspiracy to sell the hotels and had also given consent to some people. This is a big conspiracy and a conspiracy is being hatched to sell Himachal. The people of the state will have to understand this. He said that now the layers of corruption in the government are being exposed and the government has been completely exposed, which is why such accusations are now being made against the opposition.
Jairam Thakur said the Congress government in the state is bent on auctioning the state. The way Himachal Sadan was attached is unfortunate. Nowadays it is surprising that even hotels that are profitable thanks to tourism are auctioned, showing them as loss-making. There are tourist hotels in Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala that are making profits and through them the expenses of other hotels are also met, but today it is also said that they are suffering losses. The truth of why the state government did this should be brought before the people.
On this occasion, Sadar MLA Anil Sharma, Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, Municipal Corporation Mandi Mayor Virendra Bhatt, BJP district president Nihal Chand, state vice president Payal Vaidya and others were also present with him.
