Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has once again launched a scathing attack on the central government over the Manipur violence. He said that under the leadership of the double-engine BJP government, none are safe or secure.
Tagging Prime Minister Modi on social media handle Since May 2023, Manipur is experiencing unimaginable pain, division and violence. Which has ruined the future of the people here. We say this with full responsibility: it seems that the BJP deliberately wants to burn Manipur due to its disgustingly divisive politics.
“Violence is spreading to the northeastern states”
Kharge wrote that 17 people have lost their lives in Manipur since November 7. Violence is continuously spreading to many areas as well as the northeastern states.
Accusing the central government of failing in Manipur, he said that when he visits Manipur in future, the people of the state will never forgive him and will not forget that he left them to their fate. Furthermore, he never entered his state to seek solutions to stop the violence.
,@narendramodi Yeah,
Under their twin-engine governments, “Neither Manipur is one, nor Manipur is safe”
Since May 2023, he has suffered unimaginable pain, division and latent violence, which has destroyed the future of his people.
We say this with the utmost responsibility that…

At the same time, UP CM Yogi Adityanath responded to the Congress president and said that the Congress president is older. But he doesn’t dare to tell the truth. I have come here to make you aware of that truth.
Yogi attacked
Yogi claimed that Mallikarjuna’s village was burnt by the Nizam of Hyderabad in 1947. His mother, sister and aunt were burnt to death in the fire. And when I say this, if you divide then you will be divided, then Kharge starts to feel bad. Kharge ji, accept the truth. Tell the truth to the public about who the Nizam was. CM Yogi said these things in a public meeting in Maharashtra.
I say, if you divide, you will be divided,
So Kharge ji feels bad… pic.twitter.com/SHWK5DORX7— Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath) November 17, 2024
Let us tell you that last Saturday, violence broke out again in Manipur and an angry mob vandalized and set fire to the houses of many MLAs. This angry mob was heading towards CM Biren Singh’s residence. The police then stopped the crowd using force. Meanwhile, on Sunday, police arrested more than 20 people in the case and imposed curfew in Imphal until further orders.
