Schools and colleges to reopen in Imphal Valley and Jiribam

In light of the latest violence, schools and universities were closed in many districts last week. At the same time, according to information received on Sunday, schools and colleges in Imphal Valley and Jiribam will reopen on Monday.

He said schools and colleges were closed in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching and Jiribam last week due to prohibitory orders issued in view of the latest violence in the state.
Classes will resume from November 25.
An order issued by the Directorate of Education-Schools said, “Normal classes will resume in all schools in the state (including government, government-aided, private and central schools) from November 25.” At the same time, in a separate order, the Department of Higher and Technical Education also issued orders on opening of public and private schools in the state.
The Department of Higher and Technical Education has directed all government educational institutions and government-aided colleges under the Department of Higher and Technical Education, including state universities, to resume classes from November 25. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Friday said the suspects involved in looting properties of ministers and MLAs during the November 16 protest have been identified. Legal action has been taken against him.
To date, 41 people have been arrested.
At the same time, 7 more people have been arrested in the vandalism and arson case that took place at MLA residences in Imphal Valley on November 16. These arrests were made in the last two days. In a statement issued by the police, three people were said to have been arrested in Kakching district on Friday. At the same time, a total of 41 people have been arrested in this case so far.
