“The Indian government should talk to Canada about this issue”
Speaking on the issue of temple attack, Mann said in Bathinda: ‘I strongly condemn this incident. I also demand the Indian government to talk to the Canadian government on this issue so that similar incidents can be prevented in the future. He said many people in Punjab consider Canada as their second home and no one wants such a violent incident to happen there. India has said it is “deeply concerned” about the safety of its citizens in Canada. The Indian High Commission in Ottawa on Monday also issued a strong statement condemning the recent attack on the Hindu Sabha temple by “anti-India” elements.
Relations between India and Canada are going from bad to worse
Let us tell you that after Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau made allegations about the “possible” involvement of Indian agents in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in September last year, there was tension in relations between India and Canada. India has vehemently rejected Trudeau’s allegations and said the main problem between the two countries is that Canada is allowing pro-Khalistan elements to carry out activities from its soil without any hindrance. India also handed over the list of many terrorists to Canada but did not take any satisfactory action. Let us tell you that over the past few months, the Khalistanis have created a lot of terror in Canada and harmed Indian interests on many occasions. (Language)
