Calcutta Mass Fire, (Aaj Samaj), Kolkata: 10 houses were destroyed today in a massive fire in Ultadanga area of Kolkata, capital of West Bengal. According to firefighters, the incident occurred around 7:30 in the morning. The authorities said that immediately after the information, several firefighter vehicles arrived at the scene and began relief and rescue efforts, in addition to controlling the fire. Between 10 and 12 houses have been affected by the fire.

The smoke had spread throughout the street and people could see this scene from everywhere. Authorities say there are many slums in the area where the fire occurred.
He said that once arriving at the scene, the first step was to evacuate those affected safely. In addition, people living in nearby houses were also evacuated.
