Doctors at Meerut’s Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College have been accused of gross negligence. A living young man is said to have been declared dead and sent for an autopsy. The incident took place on Shagun, a resident of Gotka village in Sarurpur police station area of ​​Meerut, who was cycling to Khatauli from Ganganahar track with her younger brother Prince on Wednesday night. On the way, his bicycle was hit by an unknown vehicle, resulting in both brothers being seriously injured.

The injured were shifted to CHC, where in view of Shagun’s critical condition, she was referred to Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College, Meerut. After hours of treatment there, Shagun was declared dead and sent for an autopsy. As she was being carried out on a stretcher, relatives claimed they saw Shagun breathing and heard her move slightly and moan.

The deceased’s relatives made serious accusations against the doctor

After this, over the objection of his relatives, he was taken back to the ICU, but was later declared dead. Medical College doctor Akhil Prakash Sharma rejected all the allegations. He said Shagun was mentally dead and efforts were made to save her for 10 hours but without success.

Accused of performing autopsy on a living young man

Doctors say that when the police came to take him away, they took off his respirators. At his family’s request, he was examined again in the ICU, but there was still no life left in him. Doctors have called it a complete misunderstanding. Following the complaint from the victim’s family, the police registered the case and launched an investigation.
