Merut: A new revelation has come to light regarding the appointment of 207 illegal daily wage workers at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU). The government has handed over the investigation of this matter to UP Vigilance. It is alleged that these employees were appointed in 2003 in contravention of the Government Order 2001 and continue to receive regular salaries every month.

Salaried employees don’t even have their appointment letters

As detailed, many of the employees involved in these illegal appointments do not even have their appointment letters, and no formalities were followed in their appointment. These appointments were not approved by government order, despite this, the then university administration hired these personnel and released their salaries.

His salary continues until now.

In this case, the then vice-chancellor Dr Rampal Singh and financial controller CK Singh are the main accused, who were involved in the appointment process. According to the information, these personnel were appointed without any proper legal process and their salaries continue to date.

The smell of rampant corruption

UP Vigilance’s Meerut team has started investigating this scam and has sent a letter to the current vice-chancellor of CCSU seeking cooperation in the investigation. It is believed that this case smacks of large-scale corruption and more information may soon emerge.
